Being Beloved Kingdom Servants of Jesus Who Do Little Things with Great Love, Praying and Looking for Opportunities Day by Day by Madison Cunningham and Joy Ike, 2017 A.D.

In the garden of our Savior, no flower grows unseen,
His kindness rains like water on every humble seed.
No simple act of mercy escapes His watchful eye.
For there is One who loves me, His hand is over mine.

In the Kingdom of the heavens, no suff'ring is unknown.
Each tear that falls is holy, each breaking heart a throne.
There is a song of beauty on ev'ry weeping eye.
For there is One who loves me, His heart, it breaks with mine.

Oh, the deeds forgotten; oh, the works unseen,
Every drink of water flowing graciously.
Every tender mercy, You're making glorious.
This You have asked us, "Do little things with great love."

Server, you remind us of our Savior's bowl and towel.
Teacher, you are raising up a child to be kind.
Lawyer, give us hope that justice one day will surround us.

May God's kingdom come, on earth, His will be done.

Farmer, you are working for a table full of bounty.
Painter, with each color you are teaching us to see.
Nurse, yours are the healing hands that touch the poor and broken.

... Lord, be close to us,
Lord, have mercy on us Lord, please put Your hand on us day by day.

Carpenter, you frame a house for those who need protection. Laborer, you lift a heavy burden for the weak.
Leaders, build a city that all children may rejoice in.

Lenten Corporate Prayer of Confession and Assurance
Isaiah 6:5-8Daniel 9:4-19Nehemiah 1:5-10Luke 23:34

One: Our gracious God,
Jesus taught us to love You
with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Jesus taught us to love our neighbors
as ourselves. Jesus taught us to trust
You completely.

All: We confess that
we have often failed to learn,
and what we have learned
we have often failed to put into practice.
Forgive us, we pray, in the name of Jesus,
our Rabbi and Righteous Judge.

Silent Personal Reflection and Confession

One:
Spirit of God, as You bring to our
heart, souls, minds and strength the Truth
that it is from the dust we came
and to the dust we will return, remind us
also of our resurrection in Christ. One day
death will be defeated. So as we wait and
groan with You for that day,
Lord and Giver of life, may we also shine
as those crowned with Your glory and honor
to be a city on a hill and the light of the world.
And when we fail to remember, remind us that:

All: In You, Jesus, we are seen, called,
saved, loved and forgiven! Amen.

All creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing
“O praise Him! Allelujah!”
Thou, burning sun with golden beam,
Thou, silver moon with softer gleam.
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Allelujah! Allelujah! Allelujah!

Let all things their Creator bless
And worship Him in humbleness.
O praise Him! Allelujah!
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son
And praise the Spirit, Three-in-One.
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Allelujah! Allelujah! Allelujah!

All the redeemed washed by His blood
Come and rejoice in His great love.
O praise Him! Allelujah!
Christ has defeated every sin.
Cast all your burdens now on Him.
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Allelujah! Allelujah! Allelujah!

He shall return in power to reign
Heaven and earth will join to say
O praise Him! Allelujah!
Then who shall fall on bended knee?
All creatures of our God and King
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Allelujah! Allelujah! Allelujah!

You make all things new
In places we don't choose;
You make all things new!

Just a Closer Walk with Thee
African American Spiritual
1800s A.D.

Just a closer walk with Thee,

Grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
Daily walking close to Thee,
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

I am weak, but Thou art strong,
Jesus, keep me from all wrong,
I’ll be satisfied as long
As I walk, let me walk close to Thee.

Through this world of toil and snares,
If I falter, Lord, who cares?
Who with me my burden shares?
None but Thee, dear Lord, none but Thee.

When my feeble life is o’er,
Time for me will be no more,
Guide me gently, safely o’er
To Thy kingdom's shore, to Thy shore.

Establish the Work of Our Hands
By Aaron Keyes, Sandra McCracken,
and Urban Doxology
2017 A.D.

If You don't build it, we labor in vain.
Without Your Spirit, we stand with no strength.
I know my life is passing away,
But the works of Your hands will remain.

Let the favor of the LORD rest upon us.
Oh LORD, establish the work of our hands!
Oh LORD, establish the work of our hands!

Teach us to number the length of our days.
Pour out Your power, we'll pour out Your praise.
Teach us to run, to finish the race,
For only what's done in love will remain.
(Chorus)

Al-le-lu-ia! Al-le-lu-ia! Al-le-lu-ia!

What a Beautiful Name
Hillsong United
2016 A.D.

You were the Word at the beginning,
One With God the Lord Most High.
Your hidden glory in creation
Now revealed in You our Christ.

What a beautiful name it is,
What a beautiful name it is,
The Name of Jesus Christ, my King.
What a beautiful Name it is,
Nothing compares to this.
What a beautiful Name it is,
The Name of Jesus.

2nd chorus: wonderful name
3rd chorus: powerful name

You didn't want heaven without us,
So Jesus, You brought heaven down.
My sin was great, Your love was greater,
What could separate us now.
(Wonderful Name Chorus)

Death could not hold You,
The veil tore before You,
You silenced the boast of sin and grave!
The heavens are roaring
The praise of Your glory,
For You are raised to life again!
You have no rival, You have no equal!
Now and forever, our God reigns!
Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the glory,
Yours is the name above all names!
(Powerful Name Chorus)

Our World Belongs to God: The Church,
Jesus' Kingdom Servants (34-35)

Q. How does God respond to us
in our brokenness, sin, and need
through Christ and His Church?

A. In our world, where many journey alone,
nameless in the bustling crowd,
Satan and his evil forces seek whom they may scatter and isolate;
but God, by His gracious choosing in Christ,
gathers a new community—
those who by God’s gift put their trust in Christ.
In the new community all are welcome:
the homeless come home,
the broken find healing,
the sinner makes a new start,
the despised are esteemed,
the least are honored,
and the last are first.
Here the Spirit guides and grace abounds.
The Church is the fellowship of those who confess Jesus as Lord.
She is the bride of Christ, His chosen partner,
loved by Jesus and loving Him:
delighting in His presence,
seeking Him in prayer—
silent before the mystery of His love.

1 Peter 2:4-7, 5:5-7;

Revelation 21:9

Benediction

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. + 2 Corinthians 13:14
