Continuing to pray for God to move in Worcester
“People of one city will go to another and say,
‘come seek the Lord with me, I myself am going.’” + Zechariah 8:20-21
The 10 Days of Prayer in Worcester is an opportunity for us to integrate into the rhythm of each day an extended time of experiencing
God together for His honor, our good, and for the life of the city.
It is also intended to be part of an answer to Jesus’ prayer in John 17:23, "May they be brought to complete unity." The 10 Days occurs during the 10 “Days of Awe” on the Biblical calendar, beginning with the Day of Trumpets and ending with the Day of Atonement. These dates also symbolically point to both the finished work of the cross and the return of Christ, the Prince of Peace, who brings the restoration of all things.

With a deep sense of thankfulness for what King Jesus has done, is doing, and will do for us, these gatherings
are characterized by an unapologetic desire for “more” of His making all things new.
Through prayer together, we are expressing a deep longing for more of God in our own lives, for love, purity, and power in the Church and in our city, as well as intentionally “longing for and hastening the day” of King Jesus' return (2 Pet. 3:12).

Like in 2014, I'm thankful that Emmaus City can participate with others in our city to pray that Jesus would do far more than we can ask or imagine.
Please join us in praying for Worcester during one or multiple evenings above. We want to see entire households, neighborhoods, squares, and hills in Worcester changed. We will pray boldly, that we would press on to continue to share and show that only Jesus can bring the redemption, reconciliation, and restoration that individuals, communities, and our city want and need.
Father, love us. Jesus, lead us. Spirit, embolden us.
