Worship music is more than just writing a song and hoping others sing;
sometimes the Spirit brings gospel and soul together to make something truly strong and Jesus-glorifying.
Alright, get ready. I'm about to unleash some accolades on Viz Vice. I've already shared about Austin Stone Worship and Beautiful Eulogy and my great appreciation for the impact of their artistic craft on my life.
But what Liz Vice has done with her first album, "There's a Light," is something my soul has obviously been thirsting for waiting for. Liz Vice has presence and power in her voice and her seemingly simply songwriting is packed with some Holy Spirit punch. Just watch this video of one of her first live performances of "Empty Me Out." No flash, all substance.
"Empty me out. Fill me with You.

Adoration: All Must Be Well
"Through the love of God our Savior,
Free and changeless is His favor.
All is well.
"Through the love of God our Savior,
Free and changeless is His favor.
All is well.
Precious is the blood that healed us.
Perfect is the grace that sealed us.
Strong are His hands stretched out to heal us.
All must be well.
That way we pass the tribulation,
Ours is such a full salvation.
All is well.
Happy still in God confiding,
Fruitful live in Christ abiding,
Holy Spirit through His guiding
All must be well. ... "
Descend upon us from above.
Source of the hope, Prophet take fire.
Fountain of Life, fountain of Love.
Come, Holy Ghost, by You we see.
The prophets wrote and spoke; in You we will believe.
Unlock the truth, Yourself the key
Until the sacred book, until Jesus we receive. ... "
Celebration of Assurance: Entrance
"There You were hanging,
Transforming the plain into entrance into Your heart.
Before we could come in, You had to destroy within
The dark that kept us apart.
Before we had heard of You, but had no concern for You
Darkness was all around.
The wall was high, no way to get by,
but then You tore it all down ...
Jesus come, take our hand!
Lead us into the Promised Land. ... "
Thanksgiving: Truly Today by Liz Vice
" ... (You) the beginning and end of faith,
We have come to love and obey.
So remember us, O Lord, when we come into Your kingdom.
May we hear You say, 'Truly today you are Mine,
Now and always.'
In you we can begin, find forgiveness and life within.
Holy Spirit, You are truth.
Into Your hands, we commit ourselves.
Into Your heart, we will abide.
Yes, You save, Hallelu. ... "
Communion: Empty Me Out by Liz Vice
"Empty me out. Fill me with You.
There is nothing I can give to You.
I lay down my life here at Your feet.
You give me life so completely.
Now I, I died with You.
Was buried with You the moment I believed.
I rose with You, ascended with You into the Heavenlies.
Lord, it’s not me, it's You inside of me.
Jesus, You are all these eyes can see."
Charge and Blessing: Abide by Liz Vice
" ... we heard the call and turned to You.
Now the veil has been removed.
Jesus, we will throw away our lives to follow You.
Strugglin' in Your strength. Restin' in Your truth.
Jesus, You're so beautiful.
You give vision to the blind.
You in us, the hope of glory.
In You we will abide. ..."
P.S. Don't forget to check out Epiphany Fellowship's band, Doxa, who are releasing a worship album in the near future. For a taste, watch this video: Doxa-Mentary.
